MXL Set to be Thunder’s LoL Destination

Jace, League of Legends Champion

Team Norse Thunder’s League of Legends rosters have applied to re-join the MXL for the second split of 2022 with a place in divisions two and three requested.

Thunder competed in the first split of the year and finished fourth in the league’s division three and missed out on the playoffs by a single place. Since then, a second roster has been built alongside the original one, and both are set and ready for battle.

The team’s EU-based roster are expected to compete in division two while the GB-based roster are set to do battle in division three. The MXL’s second division has a platinum rank average player base while division three is made up of teams with a gold rank average.

It has been a successful couple of weeks for Team Norse Thunder’s League of Legends rosters as both recently won trophies during the Freljord Cup - the latest instalment of the Clash series.

Speaking about the upcoming MXL campaign, Team Norse Thunder’s Dave Scotford said: “Our debut in the MXL earlier this year was a massive learning curve for us both as an organisation and for the players as individuals too. We’d been growing and going into battle in a competitive setting a step up from Clash events was great for us.

“We learnt a lot along the way and we’ve revamped our League of Legends program off the back of it, and I think the two rosters that we have are in a great position now - though we know there are still things we want to build on and improve on. I’m excited to see how the upcoming split goes for the teams!”
