Thunder Win Brawl Stars League Promotion

Bonnie - Brawl Stars

Team Norse Thunder’s fledgling Brawl Stars roster has earned promotion from their league at the first time of asking after finishing second in the Bronze I division in the latest Club League event.

The players representing Thunder come from right across the organisation and the roster was set up as a way for Thunder staff and players to come together, get to know each other, and have fun playing too.

Brawl Stars’ Club League tournaments run globally over three days and teams from across each region battle it out to reach the highest level of competition - the Masters League. As a new team competing, Thunder began life in the game's bottom division - Bronze I.

Day one of the tournament saw Thunder reach second place in the league table, despite other teams having almost 10 times more players and thousands of previous competitive matches behind them. On day two, Thunder maintained second place, but on day three they hit the top of the table before the eventual winners narrowly claimed the title.

Speaking about the team's performance, and entry into Brawl Stars, Team Norse Thunder's Dave Scotford said: "This was a lot of fun! It's a great game to be fair and because we're growing to be quite a big organisation now with a lot of people involved, bringing everyone together to play and have some fun with it is really nice.

"I keep saying that we're one big org with lots of teams across it, so bringing our players and our staff together to spend some time with each other and have some fun was great. I don't think we're looking to set up a dedicated 'full-time' roster... it was nice having this as something everyone at the org can get involved with.

"The teams who are the league we've just been promoted from... some of them were massive with players who are obviously really good at the game. I think we did really well to get second place and it was a nice way to end a weekend!"
