Thunder League Program Set for 2023 Return

League of Legends Champions

Team Norse Thunder’s League of Legends program is gearing up for its 2023 launch with roster tryouts underway to fill open slots in the soon-to-be-announced team.

Thunder’s last League of Legends adventure saw the then-roster earn a playoff birth in Season 12 of the Valanth’s League at the tail end of 2022. The VL’s second split of 2023 is slated to get underway around the end of May, which will tie in well with Thunder’s plans to re-enter the scene.

Speaking about the League Of Legends program update, Team Norse Thunder’s Dave Scotford said: “League has always been a big part of what we’ve done at Thunder on an esports front and it’s going to be great having it up and running properly again. It’s a great game and it has been odd not competing so far this year.

“As an organisation, we’re looking forward to getting back to a competitive level and seeing where we go from there. Making the playoffs last time out was great - we learnt a lot of lessons as an organisation from the adventure and we’re hoping to come back stronger off the back of it. “

Players looking to join the Thunder League of Legends program should be ranked in the high platinum or diamond ranks, play on the EUW server, and be available for two or three evenings a week for practice and matches. Anyone interested in getting involved in the tryout sessions should contact the team via the contact page of the website.
