Thunder to Launch Pokemon Unite Team

Pokemon Unite

Team Norse Thunder’s first Pokemon Unite roster looks set to launch in the New Year as players from across Britain and beyond have come together to compete.

Since Pokemon Unite was released in the summer of 2021, the game has been growing in popularity around the globe and a full esports circuit is said to be on the horizon.

Team Norse Thunder held its first open practice session earlier this week and the players have been getting to know each other since. A formal roster announcement that welcomes a competitive-level team to Thunder is expected before the New Year.

Speaking about the launch of the Pokemon Unite team, Team Norse Thunder's Dave Scotford said: "Pokemon has been a massive part of what we've been doing for a long time now so seeing something happen for us in Unite is awesome. I'm really excited about this.

"We've got some really good people involved at the moment. We've been building things up for a little while behind the scenes and to have it on the brink of a full, proper launch as a Team Norse Thunder roster is great.”
