Thunder Roster Joins the MXL for 2022 Split

Vi - League of Legends Champion

Team Norse Thunder’s League of Legends roster are set to compete in the MXL as they take another step up in their development. Split one of the competition gets underway in mid-January and Thunder will begin their campaign in division three.

The Matrix League - the MXL’s full name - brings together teams from across Europe to compete and Thunder will be among at least eight others battling for glory on the rift.

The Team Norse Thunder roster came together in the summer of 2021 and have enjoyed growing success since. Together the roster earned two Clash event victories in the final six months of the year and a dedicated coaching team has been supporting their growth.

The roster representing Team Norse Thunder in the MXL will be: MyKeyIsLost, Dydaa, Sylvari Flames, Xepherr, Trashraka, and xaMdraW. The team will be supported by their Head Coach, Max Ward, and the organisation’s WildRift Head Coach, Alastair Fan.

Speaking about the upcoming split, Dave Scotford, Team Norse Thunder’s Director, said: “This is another big step forward for the team - one of many they’ve taken over the last few weeks and months. We’re all really proud of how far they’ve come.

“Joining the MXL will be a good test for the players and it will help take them up another notch. I’m sure they’ll give a great account of themselves and I can’t wait to see how they get on.”

Meanwhile, the team’s captain, Michael Lessig (MyKeyIsLost) said: I‘m really looking forward to participating in a league. In my opinion, the team has done amazing from the first Clash we played together and [we] have only grown and improved ever since. It will be interesting to see how other teams perform… and we will be giving it our all!”
