Clash Sparks Thunder Teams to Top Four

Ashe - League of Legends Champion

Team Norse Thunder’s League of Legends teams battled hard over the weekend as they went in search of glory in the Forge God Cup - the first LoL Clash event of 2022.

Thunder’s roster competed in the first day of the pan-European event and went on to secure fourth place with a 1-2 record, while the community team competed in day two and earned a 2-1 record and third place. Both of the team’s performances saw the players earn a spot on the Team Norse Thunder honours board

The event was being used as last minute, extra practice for Thunder’s main roster who began their MXL campaign the day after Clash, while it also gave the community team their first taste of competition.

Representing Team Norse Thunder's main roster in the Clash weekend was MyKeyIsLost, Dydaa, Sylvari Flames, Xepherr, and Trashraka. Meanwhile, the community team was represented by SkiNl3Y, Th3BiGn00bCak3, robotbuilderalex, ScottDvp, and MjSharpshooter.

Speaking about the team's efforts over the Clash weekend, Team Norse Thunder’s Dave Scotford said: “Clash is always a great weekend - it’s a really big part of what we do at the organisation so being involved is always good. We’ve got great memories of the event - winning one on our first outing will always be special.

“For the main roster it was a good chance to shake off any last minute nerves before the MXL campaign got started and for the community guys, it gave them a competitive outlet. They did really well... opening up the event with a defeat but going on to win back-to-back games was huge... great turn around!"
